Man arrested at Raffles Place after molesting woman on train

A man was placed in police custody for molesting a woman after alighting from the train.


SINGAPORE – A 33-year-old man was arrested after reportedly molesting a woman on board a train on 10 July. The victim was a 32-year-old woman.

The incident happened aboard a train travelling from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station to Raffles Place MRT station. When the man alighted at Raffles Place, he was taken into custody immediately after the victim lodged a report with transport security.

According to the police, investigations against the man are still ongoing. The man could face up to two years imprisonment and/or be caned, for the offence of outrage of modesty.
