NEW YORK – A snowplow driver received a nasty shock when he uncovered the body of 19-year-old Trevon Dickens buried in the snow on the 15th of March, 2017. Trevon had been shot once in the head, twice in the body and left dead on the streets of East Flatbush, New York City.

His foster mother, Son-ja Wilson, mentioned that Dickens was a good boy who liked making music.

“He was getting his life together,” Wilson said. “He just told me about this young lady he was seeing. He was talking about marrying her.”

Dickens had been arrested multiple times since August 2011 for a myriad of crimes like larceny and robbery.

Authorities have since arrested 15-year-old Kendall Sylvester, who is being held without bail. They say that the violence is gang related and that the two are members of the Cypress Backside Crew. Witnesses and video surveillance saw Dickens talking to two men before he was shot, and they identified Sylvester as the killer.
